Short Bio

My name is Yang, Runzhe (杨润哲). The Chinese character “润” means nourishing or abundant, while “哲” was chosen by my parents with the hope that I would always think rationally and calmly.

I am currently a Ph.D. student in MathFin at Department of Mathematics, Imperial College London, supervised by Prof. Antoine Jacquier and Prof. Eyal Neuman. Prior to that, I got my M.Sc. degree at Berlin Mathematical School (HU/TU/FU) & Technische Universität Berlin, supervised by Prof. Peter Friz and Prof. Christian Bayer. Prior to that, I got my B.Sc. degree at Wuhan University. During my undergraduate period, I was very fortune to work with Prof. Maximilian Nitzschner at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

I was born in Chaoshan region and grew up in Huizhou, Guangdong in Southern China. I have since lived in Wuhan, Hongkong, Berlin, London.

My primary research interests lie in the area involving Probability and Analysis, and their applications in Mathematical Finance.
